Fresno State Centennial

"Happy Birthday Fresno State!"

What do you give to a university turning 100? A “happy birthday” message, of course!

We’re seeking videos or photos of students, alumni, and the community wishing Fresno State a happy birthday. Submit a video with a short 30 second message to Fresno State or a photo displaying a homespun “Happy Birthday!” sign or this pre-designed downloadable sign. We encourage you to get creative with props like birthday hats, pom poms, cakes, etc. Make it fun… it’s a birthday celebration.

What will we do with your photo or video? Your creation may be displayed on this website, at Centennial events and possibly the 2010 Commencement ceremony.

Here are a couple ways to submit your birthday message:

  • Download and print the "Happy Birthday Fresno State" poster
  • If your photo or video is less than 2 megabytes (MB) in file size, email it to Katie Johnson at kajohnson@csufresno.edu.
  • Post the photo on the Fresno State Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/FresnoState
  • Upload the video to your You Tube channel and send the video link to kajohnson@csufresno.edu
  • Deliver a disk or flash drive to Katie Johnson in the Keats Building Room 106, Fresno State campus (view a campus map here). University Communications office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Copy the photo or video to a disk or flash drive and mail to the address below. Sorry, we will not be able to return disks or flash drives.

Memories

  • Being there when everyone gave Steve Coupland – probably the greatest water polo player in Fresno State history – a standing ovation at the end of his last game as a Bulldog.
